This range of tableware is made from Areca nut palm leaves gathered in the forests of Kerala, Southern India. Fallen leaves are collected, soaked in spring water, heat pressed and then dried. No coatings, additives or chemicals – just the natural leaf. Most of the production units are ‘micro’ farms and predominantly family run businesses.
There are natural variations in colour and thickness as no two leaves are the same. These are often used for outdoor wedding banquets and barbeques.
Suitable for hot, wet and oily foods. Very liquid foods will be fine for about three hours.
Can be used in the microwave and freezer.
